The advantages of TC4 titanium alloy rod in the petrochemical industry!

1、 Corrosion resistance performance

In highly corrosive media such as hydrochloric acid, hydrogen sulfide, and chlor alkali, a dense TiO ₂ oxide film is formed on the surface of TC4 titanium alloy, with a corrosion rate only 1/10 of stainless steel;

Resistant to high temperature and high salt environments, with a service life of over 20 years, reducing the cost of frequent equipment replacement.

2、 Strong stability in high temperature and high pressure environments

Thermal stability: melting point of 1604 ℃, low coefficient of thermal expansion, suitable for high-temperature heat exchangers and pipeline systems;

Creep resistance: yield strength ≥ 850MPa, tensile strength 1100-1200MPa, able to withstand pressure above 50MPa in high-pressure pipelines, avoiding deformation and leakage.

3、 Combining lightweight and strength

With a density of only 4.43g/cm ³ and a tensile strength of over 1100MPa, it can replace traditional stainless steel or nickel based alloys, reduce the overall weight of the equipment, and improve pressure bearing efficiency;

Suitable for mobile chemical equipment, reducing transportation and installation costs.

4、 Processing and maintenance advantages

Excellent weldability: High strength connections can be achieved through TIG welding technology, with weld strength reaching over 90% of the base material, making it suitable for complex pipeline system modifications;

Low maintenance cost: The surface passivation film reduces biological attachment and scaling, and extends the cleaning cycle by more than three times.

5、 Economic comparison

Initial cost: The price of TC4 titanium rod is about 3-5 times that of stainless steel, but the overall lifecycle cost is reduced by 40% -60%;

Customization: Supports on-demand cutting and surface treatment, adapted to non-standard equipment requirements.
