Preservation methods for titanium alloy materials and products!

The titanium plate industry has developed rapidly in recent years, and its export scope and quantity are constantly expanding, with broad prospects. Will titanium plates definitely not corrode? The corrosion of decorative titanium plates is not only related to their own defects, but also to the environment they are in, such as humidity, temperature, flow velocity, flow direction, and the composition and quantity of impurities in the air. In atmospheric and weakly corrosive media, if the corrosion rate is less than 0.01mm/year, it is considered "completely corrosion-resistant". However, CL media such as salt, sulfuric acid, and oxalic acid are commonly used for engineering exterior wall cleaning, hydrochloric acid, and ceramic cleaning agents for interior decoration cleaning products, which can corrode. During the maintenance process, neutral substances such as clean water should be used regularly to reduce the adhesion of corrosive media and rust. In addition, sharp objects such as blades and titanium wire brushes should be avoided from scratching to avoid affecting the appearance and damaging the intergranular structure and causing corrosion.

Common storage requirements for titanium alloy materials and titanium products:

1) For the storage site or warehouse of titanium plate products, it should be selected in a clean and well drained area, away from factories or mines with harmful gases or dust. The ground should be cleaned of weeds and all debris to maintain the cleanliness of the titanium material.

2) Materials that can corrode titanium materials, such as acid, alkali, salt, and zeolite, should not be stacked together in the warehouse. Titanium materials of different varieties should be classified and stacked to avoid confusion and contact with corrosive objects.

3) Large titanium tubes, titanium rods, thick titanium plates, large-diameter titanium tubes, titanium forgings and other titanium alloy materials can be stored outdoors.

4) Small and medium-sized titanium, titanium plates, titanium rods, medium diameter titanium pipes, titanium wires, etc. can be stored and placed in a well ventilated material shed, remember to cover them with straw and place them under mats.

5) Small scale titanium materials, thin titanium plates, titanium strips, small-diameter or special-shaped titanium tubes, various cold-rolled and cold drawn titanium materials, as well as expensive and easily corroded metal products, can be stored and stored in the warehouse.

6) The warehouse requires maintaining a suitable storage environment, paying attention to ventilation on sunny days and closing off moisture on rainy days.

7) Warehouses should be selected based on geographical conditions, and ordinary closed warehouses should be used if deemed suitable, such as those with roofs, walls, tightly sealed doors, and ventilation devices.
